How much are dues?
Dues will vary depending on the number of centers and the region. For additional information, new inquiring Members should contact us.

I have three locations, but I think only one of them should be an ALLIANCE Member location. Can I join with just that one location?
The Members of ALLIANCE have uniformly agreed for the past 15 years that it is "all or nothing" with regard to Membership. This practice has allowed for consistent Membership Standards and heightens the level of commitment that all Members have to the common goals of the NETWORK. This practice also includes all new locations that a Member should add at any time during their Membership.

How many referrals do you get for my market?
It depends on the market and the economic cycle. As you would expect, larger markets receive more than smaller markets. One point that should be made is that ALLIANCE's referral system has had steady continued growth for a decade and is the strongest network system in the industry today. If you would like more information, please contact us directly and we would be happy to review our activity in your particular market area.

Who owns ALLIANCE?
The ALLIANCE Business Centers NETWORK is a privately-held U.S. corporation. Chairman and Co-founder, Frank Cottle, holds the majority ownership.

Please explain how referral fees work.
Members have agreed to pay 10% of the base contract value (excluding service fees) for a term of up to twelve months on any closed contract that was referred to their company by ALLIANCE. For example:
• If you close a six-month contract with a client referred to you by ALLIANCE, your company would pay ALLIANCE 10% of the total base rent for the six-month term.
• If that client renews for another six months, 10% of that second six months base rent contract is also paid to ALLIANCE.
• If the client renews for a third six-month period, nothing is owed.

Again, service fees are not included in the base rent contract value calculation.

Members who refer clients to ALLIANCE receive 30% of ALLIANCE's fee as an Appreciation Fee when the client they referred closes a contract at a colleague Member's center.

Do I have to use the name "ALLIANCE?"
No, at this time we are not a franchise or licensing organization and we do not require that you rename your company. We are proud of the independent nature of our Members and believe that our success demonstrates the power of a professionally managed network organized to support your operations.

We have found, however, that those Members who use the ALLIANCE name in conjunction with their company name when answering the telephones ("XYZ ALLIANCE, may we help you?"), on their signage, and on their stationery receive greater client recognition and sales success as part of a global organization.

Members have agreed that use of the ALLIANCE Business Centers NETWORK logo is mandatory in their yellow page ads and on their websites.

Tell me about your ALLIANCE ACCESS program -- what if my center is continuously being requested for use?
ALLIANCE ACCESS is our popular program for reciprocal conference room and office use. It has proven to help our Members be competitive in the market against some of the larger publicly-owned operators, and is a good source of new clients seeking to establish an office in their region. This program is represented as being on a "space available basis." This means that if your clients have reserved your conference room, then their reservation takes precedence. We never take money out of our Member's pocket.

Colleague Members who desire to reserve your conference room on behalf of their clients are required to do so with 72 hours notice - and only if the conference room is available - and are required to cancel with at least 48 hours notice to avoid penalty fees imposed by a Member and enforced by the ALLIANCE central management offices. Since the NETWORK's office monitors and controls conference room usage, we can easily make sure that all Centers participate equally.

Do I have territorial rights in my market as a Member?
No. The Members of ALLIANCE believe that the more location choices available for clients, the better chance we all have to close a transaction, and the better we can all serve our clients.

That being said, if a market is fairly dense with Member locations, it has been our historical practice to not actively recruit new Members within that market.

If a new Member company wishes to join the NETWORK in my market, will I be asked for my permission?
Our practices always include a review of our existing Members in a given market giving consideration to the benefits and implications of such a circumstance, with an understanding of the sensitivity of each market, but Members do not have veto power.

What if I am concerned about the reputation of another Member?
All Members abide by the ALLIANCE Preferred Membership Agreement, which holds them to a Code of Practice and Membership Standards. We are proud to say that during all our years of business, we have never had a Member leave ALLIANCE as a result of a conflict with another Member.

If I join the ALLIANCE NETWORK, what is the term of Membership?
Members sign a one-year agreement. Thereafter, they may terminate their membership with 60 days notice before their anniversary date. The majority of our original charter members are still active with ALLIANCE! The NETWORK has had steady growth in Membership and number of locations since our organization in 1992.

Why are you so cost effective?
While we have a full-time paid professional staff located in five of the world's largest markets, we do not pay for major advertising, and we are not a franchise organization that must bear the burden of franchise sales and management.

In addition, we have learned to use the power of our Members, whom we believe to be the most experienced and successful operators in the world, as a 'distributed' sales and marketing force.

Finally, because ALLIANCE is privately held, we do not have the expenses associated with a public company or a regulated franchise organization.

Who determines NETWORK policy?
ALLIANCE is a service company and our Directors and Management Team determine policy.

However, as a member-driven organization, ALLIANCE continuously solicits input from all Members, and encourages Members to communicate with our offices 24/7…remember we're global!

Will you provide me with references?
Nothing would make us happier.
